hollyleann: Went to an awesome concert tonight that was about remembering Ricky Nelson. Beautiful last song that was sung. I had to be hugging my mom through it. That's a moment I will never forget.
    Grammies: Wasn't he fantastic? Such a handsome guy and a beautiful voice. His son didn't do so well. -

    hollyleann: I wasn't alive during the "ricky Nelson, teenage dream" time, but his sons put on the concert and showed clips of his earlier and later career. It was just awesome, fun songs. I like the older stuff like Elvis and the Beatles as well. I'm kinda an old soul when it comes to that stuff. -

hollyleann: I had to take a break from the computer and spend some much needed time with my mom this weekend. Love her so much!

Holly, I'm glad you were inspired by talking to your sister, that is what sisters and mom's are for! I'm glad you found a home for your creativity here on Fanstory, it is an amazing place filled with wonderful people. I just read one of your poems and was blown away. I'm getting ready to write a reveiw but saw this and just wanted to comment. It was nice of Nor84 to tell you, there is so much to learn here and there is definitely protocols in place but its a very benevolent thing. I hope you keep writing as much as possible. Its a great catharsis. -

hollyleann: Well i don't know if it worked or not, but I think I just entered my first contest on here. Not going to lie, i'm a bit nervous. it is very personal. I guess time will tell if I did it right. i just hope that some one likes it or can relate...
    Lady & Louis: If you're not sure the entry went through right, take a look at the My Menu list. There's a link called My Contests that should show what you're in. Alternatively, you could look at the contest listings and find the one you entered. If the entry went through, your name will be on the contest's info page. Good luck!

    And don't worry if you don't get the response you'd like in the contest. Sometimes it takes years to win one or make a mark. Main thing is, it's a good chance to work on your writing, get ideas, and so forth, and hopefully have fun. :) -
