Crystal Carey: Every four years we vote an idiot into office. Rep or Dem it doesn't matter anymore every four years we expect a different result. It's all the same wake up people! Time to start anew and go back to the roots of this country!

Crystal Carey: I get 4 stars all the time, I don't understand completely what people expect of you. If your poem was "good" then you get four stars. I never complain when I get fours because they are still saying it was good, and maybe just maybe it is not an EXCELLENT poem. Jus' saying
    redrider6612: It also means "needs improvement", so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some suggestions for improvement to support the rating. -
    DIS-illusioned: Hmm! Is it just me, or is there something about the dreaded 4 stars that makes it even worse than getting 3 or less? ... LOL! :) -
    Crystal Carey: I am ok with four, maybe it doesn't need improvement maybe it just was not that catchy. I got a 2 with a guy that said I have no talent. That was ok because that was his opinion I got a for today because I don't know. He just gave me a four and said good job I think it may depend on the person and how seriously they take the site -

Crystal Carey: Many days I spend pointing out other peoples absolutely asinine theories, what do they do? Create new ones. OK seriously people need to stop take a breath and LOOK AT WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. 'Cuz I'm nuttier than a bag of peanuts, and I can't even buy their crap... Just venting.


Crystal Carey: What is an activist? What if you don't want to be one but speak up and stand for something does this make you one anyways?
    nor84: First, one has to know what 'activism' means. An activist is someone who practices activism. My dictionary says: Activism --The use of direct, often confrontational action, such as a demonstration or strike, in opposition to or support of a cause.

    So unless you're doing the above, you aren't an activist. -
    adewpearl: For two years I worked as a professional activist for the anti-apartheid office of the peace education division of the American Friends Service Committee, and I did that following a few years as a campus activist.
    While we engaged in demonstrations and boycotts, we also organized rallies, gave speeches on college campuses and at church ladies' luncheons and for fraternal groups like the Lions and Elks clubs. We were guest speakers at high school assemblies and engaged in debates with representatives of the South African consulate and went on barnstorming tours, like one to Iowa before the caucuses to select presidential candidates.
