Hi everyone. I rejoined FS and am back after a long absence. I have started writing little poems and entering some competitions. It has been a few years so please allow me some time to get back into reviewing. The last couple of days I have reviewed a few pieces but you are all such good writers and I feel somewhat unqualified to express myself in regard to reviewing. I'm really happy to be back. I didn't realize howw much I missed writing.

I enjoy writing poems and short stories. I discovered Fan Story in September 2011 and became a keen and active member. Then, life caught up with me and family demands took
nearly all my time. Now that things have improved I am keen to renew my writing. I really want to improve my writing and I'm receptive to suggestions from those with much more knowledge and experience than me.
I am a retired Registered nurse and have worked in Aged Care for many, many years. I loved my job and had pleasure at work. I learned much from the elderly I cared for. I have a partner, 4 children, 2 step children and a total of 12 grandchildren.
My interests are many and varied. I enjoy patchwork, knitting, gardening and walking. I am heavily involved with renovating an old house. There is still heaps to do but I hope I can find enough time to get back to writing and reviewing.
