ReaThomas: Is there any kind of review more impersonal than one which summarizes your chapter? "The writer did this... the writer did that..." I am grateful for all reviews, but for goodness sake... treat me like I am a living person! <3
    redrider6612: The reviewer was probably trying to avoid using "you" which tends to make the comments too personal and puts the author on the defensive. Try to cut them some slack. Is the feedback helpful? -
    Adri7enne: There are some reviewers on site who use the same lines, the same critiques regardless what they review. They never get any better or change their format. They don't review. They're like dogs, leaving their scents and moving on. We learn to discount them, just say thank you and move on. Some of them have been doing it for years. It's actually quite amusing after a while. It's their loss, really. They never learn. -
    ReaThomas: You're so right, Adrienne. If people get tonnes of reviews, they don't mean anything as half of them are just people saying the same thing. Ah well, I suppose it is what it is. Should be well used to it by now! :) -
    Sally Carter: I know exactly what you mean, Rea. Adrienne is spot on with her comment. Just try to shrug it off. Some things never change and, like she said, it's their loss. Red, I would bet a year's membership that the feedback was not in any way helpful. :~) -
    Scarbrems: It might be because they are reviewing blind. You can put 'blinders' on so that you can't see who wrote the piece. They might be inclined to put 'the writer' if they can't see your name -
    ravenblack: The writer did this, the witer did that... Sounds like you are getting some cookie cutter reviews. Welcome to the club. Some are not equipped to give a knowledgeable review or just give a cursory read for the points. Sadly, it is par for the course. -
    JB Lynn: Yep, I've got one that does that, too. I'm pretty sure that reviewer's even used the exact same "review" on multiple chapters of mine, hehe. Just move on. -
