ACormello: The grand experiment with Minecraft is turned down to a low simmer. Or maybe it was less an experiment and more of an introduction. Besides, I'm tired of sitting. |

ACormello: Cats. If you own any, you understand. One of our cats got out into the garage. He then proceeded to play hide and seek with my wife and I among the boxes and shelves for the better part of the last hour. He seemed to enjoy it immensely. |

ACormello: Listening to a song entitled "Iron" by Woodkid. Fascinating piece, especially when you watch the video. And I'm not talking about the one advertising Assassin's Creed, I mean the real one. |

ACormello: Haven't been feeling too hot last few days. Yesterday was my birthday, only comppounding the problem, and due to a quirk or life, everybody I know was busy. Even my wife and son. Still, spending my entire birthday alone with my cats wasn't too bad, I suppose. |

ACormello: I once was a very social man, before I became a writer full time. But to write, well, one must do that- Write. And I find to write effectively, I can't do much else. I miss my friends, I miss my co-workers, and I miss my customers. I just couldn't bear to work my job any longer. I've considered going back to work- and I know that is a weakness. For better or worse I swore I'd keep flapping til I flew or splatted, but I'll be damned if I go back to living paycheck to paycheck on that branch, looking out over a sky I might have flown if I hadn't chickened out before hitting the ground. |

ACormello: Pets are people in practice. Humans have pets because in learning to deal with pets, when they irritate you, when they pluck your heart strings, and when they finally die and leave you, it's sort of practice for dealing with people who will do the same thing. As kids, we often wanted pets, not realizing everything we were getting into when we got them. But when you DON'T have pets, you're less prepared for what society will spring on you at a moment's notice. |

ACormello: I used to wonder about what made the difference between someone who dreamed great things and someone who acted on those dreams. Now I wonder why those people aren't one and the same. |

ACormello: Making a leap of faith requires one to jump, not merely peer cautiously over the edge trying to work up the nerve. |

ACormello: Ice cream sundaes are bad for you. Summertime is a great time for being bad. |
