Chrisfiore: Like everyone else, I was deeply saddened with the news of Robin Williams death. Here is a music video with him during happier times, reminding us to just be happy. He was truly one of a kind.

Chrisfiore: I have enjoyed my time on FanStory and have produced quite a bit of material here in the past two years. I don't know if I have become a better writer because of it, but there again, I have been writing better because of it.

Now I hope to find other venues for my efforts.

Chrisfiore: I wrote, The Best Thing That I Feel and entered it into a member created contest. But in order to qualify for the prompt, I had to edit considerably, thinking that it was worth the editing to qualify. But it wasn't.

I wanted to post the poem/lyric the way it was originally intended with no contest, no member dollars, or any judgments to justify because it is dedicated to my beautiful girl and my BB deserves better from me.

Her inspiration is my reward and I'm sorry for the compromise...


The way it appears now in my portfolio is the original, un-edited work.

I regret posting it for the contest in its edited form and will be more careful in the future. ;)

Chrisfiore: Theodosia, the Moon and I refers to Theodosia Burr Alston, the daughter of then Vice-President Aaron Burr and an actual historical figure.

Theodosia set out from South Carolina bound for New York on the ship, the Patriot, but she never arrived and the ship's wreckage was never found. Many theories have been brought forth on what happened to the Patriot.

The account quoted in my story is but one of them...
