samsaysagain: Winter's returned for a few more weeks. Fill your heart with sunshine and pray your worries away. |

samsaysagain: "Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." How wonderful to see coach Urban Myers take a moment out to kneel and silently thank God in the midst of all the celebration of winning the National Championship. Such a good example to all his young players! |
||
|
samsaysagain: Tomorrow night the National Champions will not be one team or the other. The real winners will be the team who can hold their heads high and say we tried out best and played without bending any of the rules. |

samsaysagain: Bitter cold with wind chills of -25 brings out the human heart's desire to help his fellow man, whether by food, a warm drink or a hug that says you're my brother/sister regardless of color of skin or form of faith in a merciful God. Praise Him! |

samsaysagain: samssong joined fan.story in September ,2010, and has been active as a writer and reviewer. She loves doing both and tries to find time to paint in between other activities around the house. Native American pottery and poetry have been a part of her life for many years. She makes pottery and still is hoping to find time to take up sculpture. She has six children, 4 boys (3 living) and 2 girls and 3 granddaughters. She herself is the youngest of six girls. Three sisters, age 88, 84, and 82 all live out of town. She has 25 nieces and nephews and numerous 'greats'. Family reunions are the highlight of the summer every few years. Samssong began writing in 1985 while confined to a wheelchair due to a broken ankle. Unable to sleep, she would sit by the window and watch the dawn arrive. During this quiet time she began to write a series of spiritual reflections and morning conversations with her God. During this same confinement she began oil painting. After recovering she returned to an active life as a sales person and store manager. Hobbies were sacrificed and put on hold 'til the kids are grown'. Confined to a wheelchair the past two years with a nerve disorder, the result of an automobile accident, she has returned to writing and painting and sees this time as an answer to prayers. Her desire is to spend her senior years giving honor to God by using His gifts of creativity. 'If I can inspire or encourage others through these gifts I will have fulfilled His purpose in creating me.' She is currently working on new poetry and occasionally a short story, as well as completing other writings begun but not finished over the last fifteen years. Her first work submitted to FanStory was 'Tribute to Rusty' which she hopes to re-write in the next few months and plans to include his picture in that submission. |
