marym224: I have just started writing a children's picture book. Called Charlotte's Freckle, the story is told by The Freckle, and I'm writing under the name Mem Mills. Child relatives always referred to me as Aunty Mem, so I thought it was suitable. Nothing better than starting something new. Hope you are enjoying your writing world. Best wishes |

marym224: Very impressive collaboration with The Book Nymph for Laura's Gold. Can recommend them for any author struggling to market their work. |

marym224: YOU'VE ALL HEARD OR READ ABOUT THE 'BAD PENNY' well, we'll change it to 'the old penny'. Because here I am for the first time since September 2013, and I'll say hello to all the friends I made with Fan Story. So much has happened since then including another house move, learning how to market "Laura's Gold" and events you don't need to know about. My first reaction when seeing the Fan Story site again was WOW! Hasn't it updated, with new layouts, new editing tools etc.? Well done, friends. So here goes, I'll investigate the comps first. Great to be back. |

marym224: Well, I've done it. My new novel, "Laura's Gold" is finished, and will be available well in time for Christmas. As so many of you know, the feeling of achievement is something special when you can hold the result of months of exhausting work in your hand. It will be available from Createspace.com and Amazon Books shortly. And in a few weeks, it will be in the Kindle Books listing. |

marym224: What a year! August and just come back from a cruise round UK. Visited Guernsey, Dartmouth, too rough to visit Waterford, loved Dublin, and Edinburgh. No, didn't eat haggis, but bought a Maclaren clan brooch! Met passengers from Ontario, Alberta, Texas, and Seattle. Sold some books, book 1 + 2 to a great Chinese artist at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. If you ever fall short of writing inspiration - take a cruise. Xx |

marym224: Since my last visit here, I've been to Canary Islands, Venice, Dubrovnik, Athens, Izmir in Turkey and Split in Croatia. I stopped writing, there never seemed to be time. Now I am working in new novel called Laura's Gold. Set in Australia in 1863 |

marym224: I was very proud to have Cllr Carter, our Deputy Mayor attend the book launch for The Four Elizabeths. He has read the book and is very complimentary about it. Next month, (May), he is to be installed as our Mayor. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! |

marym224: I am so thrilled, FanStorians! A descendant of one of the characters in my first book, Elizabeth Powley, has contacted me and bought a copy She is thrilled to know her ancestor is in print even though she knows most of it is fiction. She told me she has found Elizabeth's grave, and gave me some information that will be invaluable in this present sequel I am writng. I feel very privileged. The Four Elizabeths is selling well already, so tell your friends about it - never know, an enterprising TV producer may hear about it! LOL!! |

I can hear that do do do Twilight Zone music in my head xxx P.s. I love the sound of your novel. Genealogy fascinates me. I now have to thank you for inadvertently leading me to the location of my ancestors' graves. It's very close to where my parents live, so I think my dad and I will be taking a trip out there next time I'm home- THANKS! - | ||

marym224: Check out my new webpage, friends. I know it isn't rocket science compared to some of the fantastic sites in cyberspace, but it's my first effort and I'm a bit proud of it. Go... www.thefourelizabeths.com Thanks fr your interest. |

marym224: Okay... I'll confess. The photo of me writing that appears on the back cover of The Four Elizabeths,was taken by my late husband as a publicity shot - twenty-six years ago!! LOL! Well, I know a lot of authors who do the same -0ld age is not a pretty sight! |

|
marym224: Two to three weeks from now, I can start to advertise The Four Elizabeths. I am so excited and can only hope it will become popular. xxx |
||
|
marym224: Well, that's it! My book, The Four Elizabeths is now in the hands of the publisher, so all I have to do now, is wait. (Or do as I'm told - whatever!) Now I'm ready to write a poem.... thanks everybody, for being there for me! MMxx |

marym224: Thank you to all those friends out there, for your patience. I haven't quite mastered the system yet, but I'm learning. Have a good writing day, everybody. I will because the weather is too filthy to go out today. Because I have central heating in my flat, I have acquired a DVD of an open fire. Have a choice of three,and piano music with them if I wish. I play it on my TV and believe it or not, the psychological effect is amazing. Everybody remarks how warm my flat is. I'm happy and warm and writing. Living on the 7th floor is living in 7th heaven. How lucky can you get? When my writings stop permanently I'll rest content. Until then... wheeeeee!!! |

You've no idea how much my enthusiasm for writing has suddenly rocketed! Cheers everybody, and Power To Your Pens! |
