I have always enjoyed writing but for some reason took a big break from it, not realizing what I was missing. I am happy I found FanStory.

I have been away from writing for several months after medical procedures and picking up a pen and the paper staying blank. I'm feeling better though I will be having more procedures in the futures and I hope I can keep writing.
I started writing poetry when I was 17. Poetry gave me a way to release my feelings: confusion - anger - joy.

I have joined a poet society which meets once a month and I am looking forward to learning, sharing and learning more about poetry. Also, I hope to continue writing scripts, one of which I have started.

From my Mom, my ancestry lineage is from Cherokee, Mingoe and Tuscarora. Her European heritage in the USA goes back to at least the 1650's and perhaps prior to then. My Dad's heritage is German.

Besides my husband, my life is filled with one Maine Coon Cat, Deucey, and then there is Beetovan, a polydactal, mixed, 22 pound kitten (he's never grown up). We also have four dogs; Sugar, a rescued Blue Heeler (I am her cow...her herds me around the house), Pedro a rescued mixed rat terrier, Hippie Joe and Sammie Joe who are two long haired miniature dachshunds. To the family is now two Betta fish.
