tjamesmoss_author: is a little bummed that I lost the horror competition. I know I don't actually write horror, but who wants to lose a competition under ANY circumstance? -TJM
    Border Reiver: Don't be, there were probably thousands of entries. Winning should be a bigger shock than not winning. You certainly didn't lose the competition. Everyone is a winner in these competitions, because in the end you always have one extra piece of work in your portfolio. Just think, if it hadn't been for the competition, you might never have tried horror. -
    redrider6612: You took the words right out of my mouth, Katrina (BR). The odds of winning a site run contest are astronomical because there is no limit to the number of entries.

    BTW, I didn't win either, and I thought my story was a shoo-in. Ah, well, them's the breaks. -
    adewpearl: Ditto to the other comments - dozens of people enter site contests since they charge no entry fee. I cannot begin to tell you how many poetry contests I have not won. And remember, the contest who chooses the winners are just people - chances are if a different several people were on the committee, there would be different winners since what makes good art/literature is so subjective. -
    tjamesmoss_author: @ Border, you're exactly right. I never even thought I MIGHT be a decent horror writer. I suppose it was more thriller than horror, but still. I probably wouldn't have tried that. -
