jasmh: My experience comes from two word stories at bedtime for my kids. They give me two words, hamster and doll from my daughter, car and bazooka from my son and I'd make up a story. After a while they liked some of them so much that they'd ask for them again. Sometimes a week later! I began writing them down so I'd remember them. From those humble beginnings I began writing stories for me as well. Well, not for me to read but to enjoy writing. Friends were encouraging and now here I am. Having the stories you've spent so much time on read and appreciated is almost as gratifying as writing them. Feedback too though is priceless and I treasure it. |
