cephira: I've been a member for about 6 years and have never had an issue with "standard members" reviewing my work...until now. I think that a few trolls make it their mission to destroy it for other standard members. This person joined this month, has nothing but blank space in their portfolio, and apparently, nothing to say other than basically, "I hate all dark writing, so your writing sucks." I don't give a pachyderm's patootie about their comments, but I do wonder if the 1 star rating will deter others from reading my new work? I'm also wondering if I should block standard members' reviews. Any thoughts, FS friends?
    mrsmajor: For the reasons you have mentioned...I do block these members...it is clear to me that some are here simply to be unpleasant, never really intending to give a real and thoughtful review...I agree while the words, are not worthy of concern...I don't know how the stars might effect others..so I just block them... -
    nor84: A one-star rating that has no merit can be removed by the site administrator. Find 'contact us' in one of the pulldowns at the top of your screen and send a message to Tom.

    When you have a few reviews on a piece, the lowest, the first one-star and first six-star are dropped off. I never pay attention to the reviews someone else has given a work, and I think that's the way most members work. If someone read the comments in that review, they wouldn't hold it against you.

    But I suggest contacting Tom AND blocking standard members. -
