Sonya Florentino: I still am uncomfortable calling myself a poet (or writer). I found poetry late in life (less than 3 years ago) so I feel like I have so much to learn before I can call myself worthy of its name.

On the other hand, I thought if I don't own up to it now, I may never will.

So ready or not, here it is...my declaration: I am a poet
