Interests

Reading, Writing, Running, Swimming, so much interests me, my main focus is finding the time to fit it all in!

Not really a writer. Well, I write a lot, but won't ever call myself a writer until someone buys my work. Then I know I'm not just doing this for a hobby.

My main strengths lie with the fantasy genre and my end of the world books which have yet to be named. Watch this space but I'm pretty confident about them. And may admit that in person (who, me?!)

Dabbling with short stories and a little bit of poetry at present and really trying hard to practise my writing technique. Studying a creative writing degree part time to hone the skills.

As with most writers, my writing is gleaned from personal experience and I'll leave it to the reader to decide what is factual and what isn't. You'd be surprised if I told you the truth.

My other degree is in Law with the first year in English and I studied J R Tolkien's lectures. I share his passion of Iceland and fulfilled a lifelong dream by visting in 2012. Iceland, as it was for Tolkien, is a good resource to use when writing about other worlds.

Bit of a go-getter - the last few years have seen me run half marathons, swim 10k, parachute out of planes and get shortlisted to run with the Olympic torch.
