Zack Ransom: Can someone please explain to me why the term "Waitress" is more offensive than "Server". To me a server sounds like someone that might work on Jabba's barge, passing out juri juice, and working the kinks out of Max Rebo's trunk. |

For most occupations, American employment law makes it illegal to discriminate based on gender. Hence, we hire men AND women to be servers, flight attendants, and actors--all gender-neutral terms. Some people will call it political correctness run amok; but honestly, where's the argument for retaining those useless gender distinctions? I can't find one... BTW, "waiter" gets its name from the act of waiting at a table in 15th century England. That's what the servants did: they waited for their masters to tell them what to do (bring food, bring drink, clear the table, etc.) So really, is the term waiter/waitress any less offensive than server? Check, please! LOL! -
The only thing I can can think of is waitress is a sex linked name and Server is unisex. -

Zack Ransom: I got a little lost today while I was out driving. I was actually feeling okay about it though because I stumbled across this really scenic little area. The thought occurred to that you can see a lot of great things by mistake. A moment later I saw two horses having sex, and I realized that you can also see some things you wish you hadn't. |

Zack Ransom: Who actually gets a thorn in their side anymore. It should be something like "the sliver of apple skin in-between my teeth". |

Zack Ransom: I think the fact that I'm always using headphones probably makes me the easiest person in the word to murder, which isn't great since I sometimes do things that warrant murder. |
