Maria Marsden is a country lover, living in the UK with her human, equine and feline family.

She is a Psychiatric Survivor-Activist and mental health trainer. She has been employed to write training manuals and design and deliver training courses on mental distress and recovery.

She is also an artist. She says "I believe that people who experience severe mental distress are very often highly creative people. When their natural creativity has been restricted, this is when difficulties can emerge."
