Interests
Photography, reading, films, poetry.
One of the older generation who spent much of his working life at sea. This has served to help give him an insight into human nature. A lover of animals, and all things of nature this comes to the fore in his poems. Rhyme and rhythm are what he strives for. Not a poetry purist, but one of the old school who was taught. To be a poem it has to rhyme. In his own words.
"I like to think my poetry reflects everyday life, and things. If I can get the words to rhyme, so much the better. And my years at sea have perhaps given me an eye to see things and people from a different viewpoint."
Now living outside of Liverpool and though past retiring age still working as a chef, but soon to hang up his apron for good.
