Nanette Mary: Greetings to you all from Johannesburg. I have come on a quick visit to see my dear sister Loraine who is in an old-age-home and is very fragile .. and also my brother and his family in Jhb. It is just over 3 weeks since my husband died. When I get back to Ireland, I hope to respond to all the e.mails received and also to try and catch up with reading and reviewing. Once again, I thank all those who have surrounded me with love, thought and prayers during the past few months. May God bless and reward you all for this kindness.

Nanette Mary: My dear husband, Geoffrey, died in our home on Friday, the 9th of September - six months to the day from when he was told that he had a very rare form of Cancer that is aggressive and spreads rapidly.
A week before the end, the Cancer got to his brain and yet, through a miracle of God's grace, on Tuesday, when he was unconscious, when the Priest brought him Holy Communion, the moment he came into the room carrying the Blessed Sacrament, Geoff regained consciousness and he answered all the prayers himself. He then asked that everyone who was in the house should come to him and, although so weak and with his eyes closed, he spoke the most beautiful words. I am not yet conversant with Facebook but my son has opened a page under my name and onto it he has put photographs and even videos of Geoff speaking his last words. My thanks go out to all my friends on FanStory who have prayed for Geoff during the past few months. May God bless and reward you all for such love and kindness.

Nanette Mary: For the past few months, I have had very little time to come to FanStory. My husband is dying from Cancer and I am caring for him - day and night - as, in the words of what he told his Doctor, he just wants to die at home which has been a tradition in his family for over a thousand years. A Nurse comes for an hour each day to attend to him and many Nurses call during the week to see him and keep track of his condition. My reason for adding this note is to thank all the wonderful Members of FanStory who know about him, for all the love, thoughts, kindness and prayers for both of us.
My prayer for him is simply - God's Will be done - and for the grace of a good and holy death. He has suffered so much for so many years and yet he is facing what lies ahead with great fortitude, maintaining his sense of humour and expressing his gratitude for all that is done for him. Nanette Mary: I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all who have read my poem ...
"Enough .... Enough ...!" and taken to heart, the need for us all to pray, not only for the victims of such atrocities as I have described but also for the perpetrators of such evil. Only the grace of God can change the hearts of such people and dispel their dark thinking and beliefs.

Nanette Mary: In December, it will be 5 years since I became a Member of FanStory. Prior to that, I could never have imagined being part of an international family of writers such as we are and I thank whoever visits my file as well as all those who have read and reviewed my writing.
Some of my friends here have got my e.mail address. I have found out that it has been hijacked and is being used for the marketing of various unmentionables. Whoever is responsible even sends such things to me as being from my own e.mail address.
If any of you receive an e.mail that you do not recognise as being from me, please do let me know.
I am still trying to get this sorted out.
