Starsey is a female, mother of two college students, and a widow. She has written for several online web sites - SpiritIsUp is one. Starsey's childhood continues to haunt her; one of abuse from a toddler until 18 years old. She has been through all the psychological paths women of abuse our Psychiatrists tell one will or may do. Searching for love and not quite understanding what love means. She has been married twice. Writing has been a blessing that releases pent up anxiety, pain, and the love so freely given by her children. Starsey does not yet know how to accept that she is loved. Starsey has been making an effort to re-enter society after taking care of spouse for 5 yrs at home; he did not want to set foot in a hospital or have anyone touch his body but her; being a Registered Nurse she was competent to care for him. After his death, she washed his body, washed & clipped his beard, moustache, dried and applied lotion to his body, pricked her thumb and placed 4 drops of her blood on his chest; Wrapped him in a shroud, he was cremated per his wishes. Starsey is taking online classes from the College because she loves to learn, so curious! Her husband never allowed her to have friends & she would appreciate having a friend. It is not easy to begin from scratch yet not impossible. There is much hope for her. She hopes.
