Janet, this is a lovely sentiment that will resonate with many. We are forever harvesting our crops during our lifetime of reminiscing. Yet, your message 'For Barbara' comes through graciously.

Your beautiful review is truly appreciated, Ralf. Please pray for me as I came into contact with covid this week, and I am in quarantine for thirteen more days. I will be tested next week, or if any symptoms show up earlier than that. I feel fine right now. xo Janet

Know that you are in my prayers, daily!
What a situation you are in. Stay strong. Sounds encouraging that you have had no symptoms, so far.

Is smooth and wonderful read, and a great example of the Tonka.
Like how you compared the harvest of goods with apartment of precious memories;. Ask you if you're riding, meaning, and flavor.
I see no room for improvement!

Blessings,

Brother Badger Cull

Oh, that we most certainly do, my Lady Janet! :) And most times they are more beautiful than the color of the leaves that we pass by -- a beautiful offering for Barbara! :) Thanx for sharing your heart in this one! ;) Yvette

This modern tanka brings traditional reflections of ageless truths. The harvest. The reaping of what was sowed at a previous time and now the time to enjoy the bounty. Great imagery. Loren

Loved your artwork and poem, Janet! When I look into the picture, I feel I am both looking out from inside and also looking down from above. So it matches the words of your poem looking out enjoying the present autumn day and then also looking down from the future harvesting the memories. Beautiful!

Thank you greatly, Pam. I did not even know about the book until I reviewed your chapter 13 entry. You encouraged others to add a chapter so I did. I think it is going to be a beautiful gift for Katherine's mom.

You are very welcome, Janet, and thank you for mentioning encouraging others. I have tried, mainly because a lot of people didn't know about it. It will be a lovely gift. I am glad you added your talent and poem to it.

Spangle,
Once again I find myself drawn to your writing. Maybe it is the uncluttered way you soon an image with each word pair...
Maybe it is the artwork so cleverly embracing the background of your work....
Or maybe it is the gentleness of the spirit with which you write.
Maybe dear poet....it is all of those things...(I think it is)

Walks with friends and loved ones can create many good memories as stated in this short but meaningful poem. It is a good ode to your friendan uses linebreaks well.

Hi Janet.

The graphic is outstanding. I love that three-dimensional perspective.

The last two lines do an excellent job of making the message clear.
