Yes indeed, what sadistic Italian thought up spaghetti? Cutting it in half does nothing, using a spoon does little, and it don't matter how wide you open your gob, it still hangs off your chin lol.
Pasta police...ha hahaha, good one! I wonder how they'd go catching it and cuffing it...

Apparently you've eaten spaghetti with my daughter. This is a very cute take on a very common problem. Good job of managing to fit in three "in" rhymes in only 20 words. The internal rhyme works well. The wording "served a la chin" definitely made me smile - with recognition, unfortunately. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks my friend! I stopped trying to be neat eating spaghetti a long time ago. We sit with tea-towels under our chins to prevent loss of meat sauce due to tongues not being long enough to lick it all off lol!

If I'm in a restaurant, I'll put a napkin on my lap. If I'm home, I just let the chips - or sauces - fall where they may. I just try not to be wearing light colored clothing at the time.

I tend to have my pasta with tomato sauce, so I opt for something in the orange or red family. Of course, orange on black makes for a great Halloween outfit.

Thanks Liz, we also cut ours and I think I agree that it makes it harder! I've even made the meat sauce and served up spiral pasta...but it ain't the same!

I've tried using the spoon to spin the fork against. It never works. Just when you think you've got it the damn thing starts unspinning. Yes, it's the messiest.
