You have done such a great job with this, it did bring me a smile. I know you have that one slipper never worn, but I had never thought of a pair as buy one, get one free. Your verse brings entirely new meaning to that sales pitch.

Thank you, Gloria, for your thoughtful and welcome review. I recall another single shoe amongst my possessions. We were preparing to go ashore after a long voyage and I was putting on a special pair of shoes. Alas, one shoe fell overboard, never to be retrieved. I actually kept its mate for years wondering whether I would find a home for it!

Thank you so much for joining my one shoe fun. When I do buy a pair, the comfort for my existing foot is of paramount importance. Easy attachment to my prosthetic foot is the only requirement.

My patient is an amputee and has to buy a pair of everything to fit one foot for foot wear. There should be a catalog that sells one shoe or slipper of either right or left at half the price of a pair so that an amputee gets a price break. Not fair that they have to buy the whole pair. Nice job on this poem.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It is only when it comes to slippers that I would appreciate a price break. For my prosthetic foot, ease of attachment is of major importance.
