I love this, Amada. I love viewing nature from the eyes of a child. This poem reminds me of my childhood days, exploring nature, beyond the textbook. Children of this generation have many digital distractions, and may not enjoy nature as we did. Thank ypu for sharing. I hope you are doing well.

You are so right, dear Poetic Friend, the kids of today are missing something sacred...the touch of a live flower, for example. Have a great Sunday.

A very well-written nature 5-7-5 about waking on the grass bare feet is one of the great joys of a smal child to feel the grass tickle them underneath their feet.

What a precious picture you have chosen to go along with your lovely words. Certainly her 'toes and soul' appear to be joyful. She appears to not yet have been affected by the horrors that this world can inflict.

-Very nice image.
-The syllable count is good,
along with the topic
and nature imagery.
-You create a good
word picture of the child's
enjoyment of playing on the grass.
-A good concluding line, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

"Stepping on Grace", is short, succinct, and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. Good luck with the contest!

nicely captures in a few words the essential elements of being a child filled with wonder, hope and grace and close to God as his gift to humanity, if only we can keep that sense of grace as we grow older

The picture of the little girl bent down picking up flowers takes me back to an easier life style when we didn't have to worry about all the rotten stuff going on in the world these days. Great job!'

This is a sweet and poignant entry for the Nature Haiku contest. I love the image you chose as well. Is anything as innocent and carefree as a child? Well done. Good luck in the contest.
