Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I always enjoy it when you thumb your nose at conventional precepts.
This ain't your father's Hallmark love poem.
I love the paradox--damned if she do, damned if she don't.
Between a saint and a whore, I know which one I'm rooting for.

Best of luck, Steve.

Peace, Lee

Thanks, Lee. I suspect you're right that Hallmark wouldn't be interested in this.

Did you know that 'rooting' is a euphemism here. It gives rise to the old joke that the kiwi eats, roots, shoots and leaves. The first comma makes a difference!

This is a unique love poem and I think will do very well in the contest. It has the qualities of one that should be published. Great job on this entry.

May I understand this as a love of following the flow and untethered, either fiery burning or icy frozen. It is written with passion. Wish you good luck in the contest.
