Good morning, Sir Bill!! ;) Was just one of those FEW times that the more 'reflective' muse took hold of the pen... I don't turn the ink over to her very often. ;) Thanx for the review, and you have a bright Fall weekend! ;) Yvette

Hello Yvette, this is a moving three line poem. An old photo held in ' 'tween gnarled fingertips~' and the line three is very moving. Resigned to the loss but hopeful 'see you later love'. Lovely. Good luck and regards Dorothy x

Old photos have power. Perhaps the notion that the camera can steal one's soul is grounded in some truth. I like the inclusion of the tender unvoiced words to the departed.

A poem of love and faith.

Beautifully written, Yvette.

Best of luck in the contest and stay well

Blessings Julia

I can see the sentiment in a picture of ages past, Yvette. The love that was and still is living in the heart of the age and beautiful. You can take the broken heart, but never the memories. This is a good offering for the 3 Line Poetry Contest. Thank you for sharing a memory of your own.

Yes, you're absolutely correct, love sees beyond the mountains and the valleys, it always hopes, believes, thinks like a two year old toddler, with eternity in front of it, well done Yvette, good luck, blessings Roy

Excellent three line poem that expresses well your sentimental feelings. That is great when people are bonded in sincere love and cherish the good memories. Bill

Your verse for the 3 line prompt is very good and evokes the memories of the loved ones we want to see when it our turn to pass. Good job on pulling emotional heartstrings with this one Yvette!!

This is a lovely, endearing 3 Line Poetry Contest contest entry. I've seen those hands holding a beloved's picture and looking longingly at the photo.
