I have to admit I was a bit taken aback when your character let her son go off with a stranger, but having been a single mother, there is a part of me that understands that. This does keep me interested and your use of dialogue is well done. I will look for updates. Please stay safe and don't let kids go with strangers. lol.

You have moved your story along beautifully. I always enjoy reading your work. I really like the length and the amount of space on the page. One thought - a cup of coffee just out of the urn causes second degree burns, a whole cup on a blouse, might need more than a bag of ice.

"Ma'am, I was here first, so I'd say I'm not stalking you." He turned. "Nancy, could you put some ice in a baggy. She needs to cool the burn." He accepted the ice bag. "And two large coffees, one with cream and sugar on the side." He handed the ice to Katherine. "You'll need this." The real gentleman to the rescue.

Well, I can't believe Katherine allowed Jeremy to take off in the car with a total stranger. All the of credentials could have been fake. But "all's well that ends well." And if I were a gambler, I see a lot of good stuff coming in this story. Thanks for sharing.
