Funny poem! You are probably right: Present times has changed so much that we may probably prefer to stay at home (and avoid the "dressing process") , instead of going to a ball, when in previous times, to have a party has always a "YES" for an answer...

I can barely be bothered reading your poem, such is the state of my lethargy these days, slumming around in my pajamas, but i'm glad I did because it sums up the attitude of many: getting dressed up can be a pain and staying home to be a slob is rather appealing.
