you are stressed by time:)

having to use zoom, and
work in a very different world.

I haven't had much experience with Zoom, but I can see how it would get old or prove to be problematic. Your poem is vividly descriptive and sends
a powerful message about the need to zoom OUT for a while. There's a lot of rhyming, but I realize that there is no rhyming pattern.

I'm still not sure if Zoom is a blessing or a curse. It is a way of maintaining contact, but I wonder if a simple phone call or note might suffice. Of course, there is the need to conduct business and school classes. However, looking into a camera on the computer makes me very paranoid. Hopefully all this will be just a bad memory someday...

What was once unthinkable is now the new necessary. It has its upside as well as its downsides. An obvious upside is you can conduct a meeting in a shirt, tie and jacket and nothing but your jockey shorts on below deck. In your bare feet no less. Just don't stand up during the meeting. The possible downside, Young children, pets and unsolicited phone calls can cause an unpleasant and unexpected interruption.

No, I have been afraid to go underdressed yet, My knee jerk reaction would be forget I was on camera and bounce over the printer or something and be discovered.lol

Hello JLR, a happy Friday to you. It has been a while, this pandemic has me playing catch up here on FanStory. Since I was deemed "essential" I have been working a lot and haven't had the time to read or write on here. Needless to say I too need a timeout. Great poem my friend, enjoy the rest of your day.

Writing a poem in just fifteen minutes isn't easy if the time includes having to decide what to write about and then the time to write it. It sounds as though you didn't have too much trouble putting out a decent poem with a few lightly witty words. Great job and good luck with your contest.

Thanks Patty, just a good solid stream of thought reduced to the keyboard and bingo a starting point to go back and polish sometime soon.

This is a great poem JLR!
It's light and humor filled, and yet deep and thought provoking at the same time. Your whole poem flows beautifully, and has a great rhythm. It is so great I "zoomed" through it! ;)
The whole concept of "just take a time out" I think, is rather clever.
For whatever reason, this was my favorite out of the whole poem: -oh! the amount we heap deep onto our plates in twenty-four hours makes things creepy." I got a smile reading that.
Overall, once again you've written another great poem!

LOL. Yes it has become a bit much. I really don't need to see, hearing is fine. Have I got this right? You are talking about Skyping and Zooming on your computer? Well done if that's the case.

NB: just one typo >>such more (you mean) much more

Ralf
