Roy, man have I missed reading your work. God said he knew us before we were ever conceived. What a wonderful, loving father we serve. Thank you for sharing and God bless, my friend.

You always write such lovely poetry about your faith in God. I feel like you should be a minister, your words would inspire. I'm glad though, that you share your talent here on FanStory. Thanks for sharing.

Well done, brother Roy! You told of your journey from pre-life to saved-life, and it is biblical, as shown in your author's notes. Your background color makes the poem seem a part of the art. It is beautiful.

Roy,
Oh, yes. A beautiful poem. The wages of sin are death, indeed. But when we are blessed enough to find our way to the light, we find a whole different world awaits. This was striking and beautiful! Thank you!

Comment from Loren .
This is beautifully penned, Roy. It is a testimony to a life and its struggles and shared to us in a way that we can nod our heads in humble agreement. Your words and your life are indeed a blessing. Loren

Royowen,
Taking a line from your beautiful words: "that your star would shine so bright." You star always shines in your poetry.
I see comfort in your words of finding and in praise of God.
You cannot add to perfection.
Best wishes and regards.

"He clothes me in a scarlet cloak, my righteousness is sealed
and God became my savior King, He is my rod and shield.
Now God anoints my head with oil, adorns me with a ring,
within my heart composes songs my mouth for Him I sing."
This is my favourite stanza, Roy!
Yes, Roy. Only, God, Our Lord, is our remaining speaker throughout our life and especially during this incessant pandemic of uncontrollable death. Great Work!

This wonderful Christian poem is excellent in every respect. It paints a vivid picture of how one stumbles through darkness searching for life's answers before meeting the Lord. The rhyme and meter are well-sustained, giving the poem an appealing flow.

The last stanza here is particularly hymn-like. I think you do a good job explaining a rationale of faith.
Here are the lines that help show why mortality's flaws will never satisfy us:
When I was young I had a dream my star would shine so bright,
but what was born in day descends and turns to darkest night.
