Great description of feelings within! It compares what is outside with what`s inside. Good use of words to describe emotional states. Writing leads reader deep inside the World of a lonely person.
I have seen in a TV program a man and a woman in a square with a big sign "Hugs for free". And there was a long queue....

I can feel the pull of hte heart in this as they plead for them to be there with them when they are not. Oh, to want someone who is not there. It draws on you and increases the pain of loneliness.

Battling that loneliness is something that even many we do not recognize have to do on an almost daily basis.... always take time for a few words to everyone... Your offering here is great (not sure what other word to use...) emotional touch on those predicaments. Thanx for sharing and best of luck! ;)

I totally get it. This seems like the perfect description of where I was at one time - in self-isolation. A self-imposed time of loneliness - where it was very possible I would have been received into company fine, but my own self-doubts and insecurity prevented me from finding out.

Conflicting emotions that come with the feeling of loneliness line each word. I've never truly been lonely...but, I think everyone at times have felt like this. This feeling of not belonging anywhere. I guess it's a matter of how you will overcome it.
