Hi Bill, it's great you have included over people and their memories of Montana, I cannot understand why you did not ask me lol,
Just kidding, but did go to 'Lake Tahoe' but staying at Yosemite National park for one night, wow the eagles and huge mountains. Thanks for sharing kind regards Colin

Thank you, Colin, for giving this a look. Nebraska is next; if you have anything to feel free to chime in. Nevada comes after that.

Ok Bill, thanks, oddly I have only been to Arizona, California via 'route 66' so high up in the Alphabet, Cheers anyway

Bill - as usual, educational as well as entertaining. I would love to read a review of this written by a native Montanan. I believe there is also a fire jumping school there and a roadside stand with fantastic giant Bacon Cheese Burgers with sautéed mushrooms and fried onions. - Jerry

Wikipedia skipped those places apparently. Thanks for giving this a look, Jerry.

Absolutely love the line where you're falling asleep and then switch to more personal anecdotes... those are the best kind especially from you, Sir Bill! ;) :) Of course your 'mention' of Glacier Nat. Pk was just as smileworthy - lol! ;) A great addition to your collection here -- thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Interesting presentation on Montana. I did remember Helena as the state capital. I'm trying to brush up on state capitals. Interesting details about Obama's visit to the state and the awesome security. I was in Lynn, MA when Jimmy Carter visited there, and the security was also tight. I think you are in the majority when about all you recall of your visit there radiator overheating and arguments. People should do more to preserve mementoes of their travels. I can't remember much about a lot of the places I've visited. Until your next attack. judi

Thanks, Judi, for giving this a look. I always meant to go back to all those places when I cared and controlled the schedule; it never happened.

You're welcome. I think of many places I'd like to revisit, especially in New England. judi

Dear Bill, I am glad you have others to contribute to your post on Montana. Because not only does it have a Big Sky. It is Big. I mean miles and miles of Big Beautiful Scenery. But no wonder your family 's car overheated way back then, it is quite a distance from one place to the next even now.

Thank you, Suzanna, for giving this a look. Sorry I fell short on my coverage, but glad others stepped up for Montana.

Great job on Montana, Bill. As usual, your sense of humor kept me awake. LOL
Like this: "My family traveled through Montana in 1969. I recall mountains, the radiator overheating, and arguments."
And this: " . . . more work than your average assassin is willing to do."
And: "Hanna Montana, y'all." (oh boy, that one stinks.)
Bye BILL

Sounds like there is not too much to say about Montana. I have never been there and do not know too much about the state. I did not know that part of Yellowstone was in Montana. I think of wolves and bears when I think of this state.

Hi Bill, at least you took up some hints about Montana from writers on this site. it's more than can be said about Missouri. But hey, I know. I don't count. LOL. I'm glad Mary Kay could provide so much info. Good on her. All best. Ulla:)))

Yes, Mary Kay loved Montana. I suppose I should send her a pump.

Maybe you should. I know she would appreciate it. And she deserves it. She gave you a lot of info. Ulla:)))

It sounds like Montana is a beautiful state. I've never been, but I do remember seeing the Rockie Mountains in Colorado and it was breathtaking. The parks sound interesting, maybe I should visit through google maps.
Just returned from my virtual trip. Montana is gorgeous. Poison Flathead Lake Museum and Miracle of America Museum is a must-see.

Bill,
Well, I feel much better informed. Hmmm... But have no desire to visit Montana. Is that a good thing about your post or bad? Not sure.
There were a couple of places I laughed out loud -
--> Helena Handbasket
--> falling asleep
--> diversity reversity
--> over-heating and arguments
I did not know that about the Continental Divide - am I stupid or what?
This was a lot of fun. I have to think, more and more, your wife is a saint. hehe

I?m not sure how this post, by itself, is evidence of my wife?s sainthood.

Oh, no. It's cumulative. Sorry.
Have you ever read Mark Valentine? You two remind me of each other a BIT.
