I hear you, I feel you. Happily for me, my wife is still here with me, I do not know what I would do without her. One of my favorite blues songs has a lyric that says, if you pack one bag to leave me, you had better pack two, because you are not leaving without me.

This is a beautiful and touching poem and I enjoyed reading it. It's so sad to know it's based on something that really happened. I'm glad it helps to write about it. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

What a gorgeous poem for your departed spouse. She would have been proud.

It flows beautifully, with a great rhymes, meter and flow.

Loved these:

Now you must go, you must depart
and leave me with a broken heart.
Your time on earth was much too brief,
as I hang on, amid my grief.

Oh, how sad. Please accept my condolences. Those wounds never really heal, time makes them better but they open up and bleed easily. But every day brings new hope and relief.
My mother died 13 years ago, but it feels like yesterday. I feel her presence every day, she guides and protects me. Let us hope out loved ones are in heaven, with no pain, and there are beautiful gardens and there is always spring.

Sometimes we need to do the write. I haven't wanted to do it so I've been away. I'm glad you're able to write about her and that it brings you comfort. No need to explain yourself. I think we all understand. Great job.

That kind of love never dies and it is so prevalent in this poem, as well as others that you write. Sad but true and yet you never let it go. True blue.
