As always, a wonderful offering with a spiritual message inside. The Bible says even a child is known by their actions. Society seems to think we can seperate a person from their actions. You cannot. Only when the life changing person of the Holy Spirit resides in us can we change and from there, our world.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs...

A very well-written Villanelle about the works that are done at night will be reveal when the sun shines during the day. The works of the night are never good and the culprit will pay the price at the end.

I enjoyed reading your poem. This is a very nice poem, I enjoyed reading it. I particularly enjoyed this line-

When darkness shines the crim will stray,
while victims flee in pale moonlight.

Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

This was a great Villanelle done true to the form. You picked an unusual subject for it - but a very relevant one, and your voice needs to be heard - there is too much crime these days, a lot of which goes unpunished.

I love your rhymes, flow and cadence as well as a good quote from Luke 11: 35 a.

In one of the lines of your author notes, probably in the process of editing, strange symbols, "â?" were inserted. It happens a lot on this site, don't know why. You may want to take care of it:

Luke 11: 35 â??Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness.â??

Thank you so much for sharing.

Well done with your Villanelle Roy, your repeated lines work beautifully in this one about the crims of the night. In Townsville it's mainly kiddie crims, who should be tucked up in bed. Loved the black n white presentation, cheers Valda

Hello Roy, this is a really well written poem of wisdom. A perfectly created Villanelle where every line in a gem. Your first line in the last stanza - 'crim' - add the 'e'. Great picture reflecting the content of the poem. Well done - regards Dorothy x

There is more evil out during the cover of darkness than you will find in daylight. In the day we find what happened while we slept.

Superb job with your well crafted villanelle which gives a spiritual message, warning all those do-ers of darkness that what they sow in darkness will be evident by day.

An interesting poetic form, Roy. I really enjoyed it. The message is a good one to share with us, and I appreciate you doing so. You produce poems so quickly, I have trouble keeping up, but I enjoy each and everyone. Your work reflects The Father's love.

Take care,
Rhonda
