Bill,
Fun piece! My hubby has two nicknames for me. (Speaking of random.)
Of course, we do the 'baby'and 'honey'-stuff all the time, but he also calls me either 'Hawk' or 'Missouri', also.
I'm Hawk when I do something kinda stupid. 'Come on, Hawk. You know better than that.'
I'm Missouriwhen I drive the man crazy. Thinking Iknow more than him -- we disagree and finally, he says,'Am I gonna have to show you?'
This made me smile. AND may have given methe inspiration for a new piece/post. Thanks!

I like Missouri too. I'm a big fan of Mark Twain and all his writing and I have done the arch at St Louis. You said some really nice things about this state. I've still not quite forgiven your for the hatchet job on Mississippi but I will if you'll take it easy on Tennessee whish is the state I live in now. LOL

My niece and nephews live in Knoxville, Lebanon, and Franklin. No worries.

Great post on Missouri! I, too, loved the Mark Twain books. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn re great reads.
I did not know that Jesse James was born in Missouri!

Hi, Bill. This is a wonderful story of Missouri. I visited here on my way to PA from CA When I was discharged. I saw the arch, but my driver and I were too afraid to venture inside it.
My very favorite book, honestly, is the Prince and the Pauper; it is so spellbinding from cover to cover. It's the first movie I truly enjoyed since Mary Poppins. Lol. There are several versions of the movie out now.
Anyway, your take on the states is wonderful; I love your vivid descriptions, and honest narrative.
Have a wonderful week, Bill. Good luck in all your writing contests.

Enjoyed your tour of Missouri. My daughter spent some seven years there so I know a little bit about KC - the Missouri side, not the Kansas side. I love those Mark Twain books, too. The great state of Missourah had a beautiful art museum and so many cool sculptures. And you could have met the starting point of the great Oregon Trail...

I am enjoying these and am glad you are writing them. I am learning a lot of things I had not known. I have been to most stated but often just passing through.
