Good writing in this next chapter of your book. I like your dialogues as well as the characterizations. I especially enjoy the toughness of Roseanna as she takes care of business even though she wishes to be protected and stood up for.

I really enjoyed this chapter, especially. I love the flavor of the times that you give the pieces - the dialogue seems real and the motivations seem authentic. Kudos!
Notes:
1.) "No, return here(. W)e need to get on the trail."
2.) She turned to Richard and whispered(,) "We should have left with Doo."
3.) She wouldn't have trusted any of them f(s)rther than she could throw them.
--> 'farther' for distances
4.) The muzzle of the rifle looked like a/cavern and twice as dark.
5.) "Be quick about it, you heard Godfrey, (we're) leaving in ten minutes."
I look forward to the next installment!

Good for you, Roseanna! Let nobody call you a wench or any other disrespectful name! And when they tried to fight with your brother with a knife, only because he tried to defend you, you did more than well to defend him. They will not try things with you again.
