Sally, I am not giving you this because you are a dear friend, but because it touched my heart, and that is what love poems should do! I will bookcase this for sure!
Keep it up, sweet Sally. Your talent has no limit, apparently!
Hugs,
Tina

What a beautiful way to tell a person that you love them. I especially love the roses since the Kentucky Derby is known as "the run for the roses." Anyway, it flows well and leaves one with a warm feeling. The photo and video really add the perfect touch.

Thank you for the lovely review and starshine, dear Faye. I'm glad you enjoyed my Nonet. My husband loves to give me roses and this was written for him. I think it would be safe to say, I am a hopeless romantic.
Sending my best today as always, and blessings for your day.

A sweet love poem in your favorite nonet style. I am glad that roses inspired you to write this one. My favorite part was the "keys of love." Thanks for sharing!

I'm jealous. I want some red roses, and someone to play that tune for. I'm not an expert on nonets, but as far as I can tell this one looks perfect. Good luck.

Aw, thank you. Feel free to join in. I do this as personal challenge and opened it to FanStory informally. Nonet is French for nine. It begins with nine syllables and reduces to one. Nine lines total. Sending you my best today as always,
Sally XOs...

This poem has several sensory images. There is an appeal to several senses. This is a poignant poem. Some readers will be able to identify with the passion described here. Well expressed.

Thank you so much for your sweet review and kind compliments. Yes, a Nonet is a French form of poetry beginning with nine lines reducing down one syllable in each line to one. It creates a lovely presentation centered, or on the margin as I have here. Last month, I did a double reverse Nonet called "World Peace." You can catch it in my portfolio. Sending you my best today as always with many thanks, Sally :))

Thank you very much for the wonderful comments. I started this challenge about a year ago really for myself to master this form of poetry. It's really not that hard it just takes a little time. I have several Nonets in my portfolio and have also taught this poetry form to others. I hope you'll try it. When I joined this site, I didn't think I'd ever write poetry. Seriously. Dean and Boo Ghost tempted me with a contest and I won. It was a Halloween Tanka. I may re-post it again in October just for fun. Two years years later and I love poetry.
Sending you my best today as always, with many thanks,
Sally XOs......

A very well-written Nonet about the Red roses as a token of his love requesting his favorite song that you are willing to play until your dying day.
