Why did we give up our civil liberties so easily?
Why do we let the "experts" rule our lives? Do they know our lives better than us? No!
Why are people forgetting how to treat others, even family, with courtesy and common sense?

This story certainly speaks to so much of the frustration that millions are feeling. There were a number of grammar/spelling issues that, I think you can catch with an edit. Nice ideas.

I think you make a good point: that sometimes you need to be selfish in order to benefit others. This is certainly a timely story, about something that effects all of us.

This is a good summary of the madness that is COVID. I particularly enjoyed the last line about not being friends with the virus- haha, good idea.
This piece is touching because you say you had to change your life from being caring to selfish which I think is actually an unselfish act, much more unselfish than the people who complain about having to wear masks.
