Hello again Sandra
I am enjoying these - The female yak is a nak! My word, if this was better known they'd feature far more often in poetry than they do - what an excellent rhyme!
I wish you well with your Grand Finale - which, surely, can only be a Zebra?
Take care
cheers
phill
"...and sure footed, they are..." (I think 'surefooted' is a single word and perhaps its a semi-colon, not a comma, after 'footed')
"...bachelor herds. At the..." (space missing before "at")

Hello, Phill, thank you for picking up those two nits, I went straight in and corrected them. And a big thank you for your lovely review. I really appreciated your comments.
Yes. I can't believe I've come to the last letter. It will have to be a special one. I don't think I can deny what the animal is that most of you have told me, lol, I wish there had been another, but the zebra is more fascinating than some realise. Thank you again, my friend, hope to see you for the finale! Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

This is an amazing animal. Before I read the last bit, I knew they had to be a kin to the Buffalo. I find especially interesting the contrast between male and female. The female sounds very independent and adventurous. All in all Sandra, this is a great presentation. Thank you for sharing this info.

I guessed this one right. It was either yak or yeti, and it seems people who have tried to research yeti haven't had too much luck. I heard somewhere that yaks had pink milk. And if you put them in a zoo in a warmer country, they don't do well. Love the pictures, especially your husband's.

Hi Sandra, if you find any nits...they'll be on those Yaks your looking at...

and tell Graham this picture is in the top three...I ask you...look at those starry struck eyes...you just want to give the guy a BIG HUG...

and hey...if I were a nak Yak...I would be a bit selective about who's squeezing my tit as well...even nak Yaks have more morals then some females out there today...

I think this is one of your best chapters my amazing friend...these guys are pretty interesting...seem like they could be pets...I guess they are to the herders...
really enjoyed reading this one beautiful girl...very well written you...these take a lot of work...and an artistic hubby...I love your poem...and love the picture...and love you the mostest...Linda xxoo

How is Ian doing???...say hi for me...know he is in my prayers Sandra...did he go home yet???...all of you take care...sending tons of love your way...xxoo

LOL!!!!! You are so funny, Linda. Mind you, I'm very fussy about who handles mine! LOL.

I could see them as pets, too, but I don't think I'd have one sleeping at the bottom of my bed! They are far gentler than other herd animals, and do a lot more, as well. Graham is going to love your message about his drawing, he always asks what you've said, so he'll love this one.

Thank you so much my dear friend for the six stars and the fabulous, fun review. You always cheer me up, and put a huge smile on my face. Love you loads, and sending you a humongous hug! :)) Sandra

Ian is still in hospital, feeling a bit down now. No visitors are allowed because of the virus, so we can only phone and chat. Thank goodness for the mobile phones. Ian isn't very good at taking in what the doctors tell him, and Maggie can never get hold of them when she phones. I know they are very busy, but we do want to know what's happening. It's really frustrating. Thank you for your prayers, they do help a lot.

Let me know how Abby is and your mother. Sending my love to my young hero, too. Lots more love. xxxxx

I'm so sorry for Ian...do they know what caused all this??...and I don't care how busy they are...they should have people coming in the hospital just working on phones telling them about the patients...say hi for me...

I was face timing with Abby and Noah yesterday for about 45 minutes...they are still at home...but it was so good to see them...but they still don't go to the library yet...sigh...I know Ab's will miss that...well you have a great evening...sending all my love to all...and big hugs...Linda xxoo

Thanks for all this great information on the yaks. I always confused them with water buffalo but I'm sure those don't like to climb up mountains like yaks!

Suggestions only if it makes sense:
In Tibetan, (In the Tibetan language,)
mate [with] the females of their choice.

I'm pleased you wrote about the Yak (not that you had many choices of animal) because I have seen these animals in Western China and know how important they are in the herders' lives. You have written with interesting details in an engaging style, both in poem and prose.

No, there wasn't many to choose from, but I did find them so interesting once I'd started researching them. I had no idea how wonderful these animals work, and how much they are needed. You are so lucky to have seen them. The majority of the animals I've featured live so far away, I'll never get to see them in their natural habitats.
Thank you, Lisa May, for your lovely review, and delightful comments. One letter left to do! Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

It is amazing how the yak can survive under the conditions it lives, Sandra. But God gave all animals adaptations. I can see this chapter as being one your grandson's favorite. You give great information in a fun way. The pictures are great, too. The introductory poem sets the tone well. I learned several facts about the yak myself. You have done a wonderful job with your a-z book with just one letter left--do I hear zebra?
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Aw, Jan, you are so kind to come and read and review with so much worry on your mind. Please know you and your brother are in my thoughts and prayers.
The yak are really amazing animals, they not only live in those harsh conditions, but love to swim in the icy water!!! Lol. Thank you so very much for this lovely review, my dear friend. I really do appreciate your time. Take care, sending you a hug and much love. Sandra xx

Yaks are so cute! Not really. I wonder if they talk a lot. =] This is really cute. I'm sure any child would enjoy a poem about yaks. Great rhyme as always.

Another excellent and a most informative episode Sandra. The yak is a most fascinating beast, but I never realised they were so large, I think the African Buffalo is as large and is decidedly dangerous. Your research and hard does not go unnoticed dear girl. Well done, blessings, Roy

They are, Roy. I've learnt such a lot about the animals by doing this book. The yaks are amazing animals, and to think where they live, high up in the freezing cold! God does look out for them, though, He has given them everything they need to survive.Thank you, dear Roy, for another really lovely review. One last letter to go! Of course, no one would possibly be able to guess what that animal will be!! LOL Warm hugs, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

Such interesting animals not only to look at with their shaggy coats but also their lifestyle. Presented in a very interesting format beginning with a poem containing vital stats.
