Oh wow! I just so love this Alphabetic Ruminations from A to Z. Perfect! With what's happening around the world, the political agenda seems to be competing with medical/health issue.

All the best!

I already knew the word xanthous (yay, me). Believe it or not, I found it in a word search puzzle. lol. Wow. You've given us a lot to think about, and all of it spot on. Everything is so confusing these days!

Wow! Nailed it; I like everything about this. from the art selection, the verse, the message, to the fact I didn't have to look up xanthous:) I think this is the 2nd time I've seen an abecedarian poem, and I am truly impressed by them, this one is exceptional. You nailed the question; "Would you recognize it?" We have been lied to all of our lives by people who have been lied to all of their lives ad infinitum, Great poem. You get my vote.

Wow, Steve. Have to say, 'thank you' doesn't seem adequate, sir -- you've really touched me this morning....

I can see you know your ABC's, Yvette. :) Here we have many struggling to rhyme and you write yours on a dime. Yes, we are in danger of losing our freedom. The virus contains us, the government maintains us and we fight for that glorious roll of toilet paper to wipe the smirk off our faces. We are a people ununited and divide we will fall. This is a write of the Constitution in poetic form. very good entry for the ABC Poetry Contest

Yvette,

You did go all out with your alphabetic poem post. I like how you finally got the 'zed' not zen into your last line. I surely 'recognize ...' that this took your creative juices to compose such a long one.

Good choice for your illustration. I wave with you.

The eccentric blonde strikes again!

Mark

P.S. As you know, I rarely review longer verses, but the illustration attracted me to do so. I am pleased I did (-:

Thanx so much, Mark, for your review on this one, sir -- appreciate your breaking of your 'long write' avoidance (wink, wink)!! ;) This was my first one in a while that I've actually had the time to sit and think and let the muses loose (LOL!)... so I'm glad you enjoyed! ;) Hope this finds you with a smile for the day and happiness to share: goodness knows we need MORE of both! :) ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

Yes, my lady, you did go all out. This is so impressive--further proof of your prolific mind and writing skills.
I really do think this is a clever poem--you even managed to include the Z in your own way. And, I like how the last line of each stanza engages the reader and progresses to the point that it answers the question for the reader.
Here's an interesting aside. Before I saw your notes, I looked up xanthous. Yellowish color yes, but one definition described it as a race of yellow-haired, pale complexion people. Makes your use of the word even more appropriate, which I am sure you intended. You might include that definition in your notes.
Great job, Yvette.
