Thanks for another great chuckle-I had my front four teeth knocked out a few years ago, and found that I could no longer whistle with the replacement --once again you have written a lovely little sonnet about life and aging --most enjoyable

Music definitely lifts my spirits. Whistling, singing, humming- all will work. I play the piano and I often sit down and play and get list in the music.
Great advice to lift our spirits.

I have a song singing high that soars my spirit to the sky. Yet, then comes the darkness that dulls my soul with sadness. The rain will start, and it reaches my heart. . I like your poem better, Jaybird. :) It's true when feeling low whistle a tune or hum one, and if you can sing, well sing. Thanks for sharing.

It works for me too. I sing and hum. My father was a whistler. He was an expert at whistling. Used to whistle while he worked in the garden or his workshop. This was uplifting . Thank you for the memory of my daddy . Well done, Bill. Nancy:)

Excellent poem! We all can use a little more happy in our lives. I like the way you rhymed pairs of sentences.
The happy beat is steady during most of the poem, which made it almost like a tune! I like!

For those of us who can no longer a carry a decent tune, humming is a good alternative. Focusing on music takes us out of own heads and into a brighter day. Thanks for the reminder.

That's a very nice poem. I don't consider this silly at all.
When I was young I used to sing a lot at home but now the
time has come where I hum. But this also helps a lot.
