Hehehe, I liked this haiku, Marival. I have them as well but I have to say that my cats have also helped in keeping them away. I've not had a cat for a couple of years, but I've just got a little kitten. She will be helpful I'm sure. A lovely haiku with a sense of humour. Ulla:)))

Hehehe, I liked this haiku, Marival. I have them as well but I have to say that my cats have also helped in keeping them away. I've not had a cat for a couple of years, but I've just got a little kitten. She will be helpful I'm sure. A lovely haiku with a sense of humour. Ulla:)))

This is so cute and funny. Spiders around my house needn't fear either, I hate housekeeping. That spider picture reminds me of how they gross me out though. Great poem.

It's an interesting open ended format, and I think the way you worked it it worked in creating this dramatic sense of footsteps across the floor: 'Don't worry, little spider/ I am a terrible/ Housekeeper'. We feel that impending sense of doom for the spider, but in the end there is a reprieve, an escape. A sense of compassion for living things comes through at the end. estory
