This seems like the thoughts of a lost loved one that missed life but hasn't yet made it into Heaven. I could also from the house's perspective. Good entry for the club post.
Keep writing and stay healthy

This is an eerie write and I am not quite sure who this could be but it sounds a bit unsettling to me, perhaps it is just your imagination? Love Dolly x

Maybe . . .
Thanks for reviewing.

This is such a sweet poem about a ghost.
The most poignant line to me is, "There is no release for me." It is not what one would expect in a letter from a ghost, so it is special. Thanks for sharing this!

So beautiful and sad. I don't know who the ghost is, but the mere idea that we might have ghosts around us of ancestors or others who were once close is an interesting subject. You've evoked this melancholy feeling in your poem and it's touching.
Well done.

I really enjoyed this, Yvonne. I liked how you presented this from the ghost's perspective as suggested in the challenge. Ghosts are definitely caught in a world between and perhaps it is a sound or slight noise that alerts us. Very much enjoyed, great job.

What an interesting post, something I'd never think about...a ghost, unseen, but always around us...watching and sad that they can not be seen, heard, or appreciated for their presence...Yet, linked invisibly together.
This was a very thoughtful poem Yvonne, and free verse was perfect for its execution...The idea of a ghost writing a letter, speaks to its presence...there, but unseen...Thanks for sharing this with us, it's worthy of the 6 stars I chose to give....Take care and Stay Safe...
Warmly,
Victoria

Beautiful! Nice letter from one that is lost to you. Many tears I have shed watching life go on without me. When you hear a knock or creak it is me I am here. Suggests they are always with you in spirit.

-This is a beautiful poem
and does not need an image
to convey it.
-I read it before looking at
the topic and was wondering
what would have been wrong.
-This is a ghost with a strong
soul and spirit:
"Many tears have I shed
watching life go on without me."
-An excellent ending, too.
-I think this is one of your best!

Thank you. I thought it wasn't one of my best. You've made me feel better.

You are welcome. I really, really liked it. As I said, I didn't look at the required topic, and if you read it that way, it digs into the soul.

At the course of reading it, it felt that so real... The thoughts flow smoothly and has touched my heart, it as if I was the one uttering the words. Great work!

A very well-written free verse poem in the form of a letter from your personal ghost telling you how she feel to be linked to you although she is invisible to you and others.
