This is a great idea for a poem .Any observer of nature would note the early warning of an incoming weather. Your poem gives a verbal picture of nature and personification of winter is very effective.

This is a lovely rhyming poem. Here in Minnesota, we don't have to have notification, it starts EARLY. Usually the end of September, or beginning of October. I love the picture and colors you used and the personification of winter. Thanks for sharing.

It starts that early? Wow...here in Virginia. we usually dont see snow until January and its done by March.Thank you for the review!

Winter does like to tease. We will get a cold spell and then suddenly Indian Summer will float by fir a couple of day's. Then suddenly we'll wake up to find snowflakes on the branches. Lovely piece.
