Sally, such a wonderful presentation. Your poem is straightforward, like that of an old (accurate) newspaper story. I watched the video and Sophie was a true heroine. She fought for principles that today's journalist mock with their fake news.
Extraordinary, Sally.

Aw, thank you, sweet. Cindy. I am honored. I'm going to be more outspoken these days and just had to speak up about what's going on in the world of journalism. I appreciate you standing with me for truth.
Sending my best today as always, and blessings for your week, Sally XOs...xo...

Hello Sally, how have you been? It's been a while. I enjoyed your poem and I have to say that I'm not sure people have that vivid of an imagination. I have to say that your last paragraph in your notes left me a little taken aback. As a "black" person I do believe my life matters as well as all "black" people. I don't think BLM and should be lumped together with Antifa, they are two different groups with two different goals. I don't believe in any forms of looting or rioting by anyone or any group for any reason. If you count up all the protest around the country and the world, the vast majority of them were peaceful and the one's that got out of hand it was stated that most of those agitators weren't even from the city/town they were protesting in. A lot of them were just opportunist and people trying to muddy the message of BLM. Anyway I don't think there would have been any protest if there wasn't a constant cry for equality and justice. Rioting and looting may be an unfortunate by-product of some of the protest, but the protest are a by-product of the constant killing of unarmed black people and the constant plea for justice and equality. Address the root of the problem and you get rid of by-products of it. Anyway those are just my thoughts you have a great day.

Thank you for the excellent review and comments, dear poet. I'm sorry to disagree with you, as BLM in their actions, viral videos, anti-God posts, and website, are about government overthrow through violence. In their attempts to protest, anyone white is the enemy and all races serving as police. This is not right to me, or will produce anything good. The graffiti, damage, loss of life and limb, children, oh yes...little black ones in my native Atlanta! What has been done thus far is unacceptable to me and the BLM's message has been lost. Many have joined in cause not realizing this. All lives matter, dear poet. If black lives matter, why are they attacking black police? Black conservatives? Shooting black children? Defunding police so that more black gang violence is left unchecked? Chicago? Look at the rise in black on black murder rates since the BLM's protests started in Chicago. It's just awful.

All of this is not about black lives matter. This is about the violent overthrow of America.

I hope you'll take some time and review some credible news sources that will actually show some of this, and no, I don't watch Fox News. I love all colors and uphold all life.
Sending you my best today as always,
    Sally xo

Simply a powerful poem and visual. I agree there is no trust in journalism or the media. It's all full of hate and lies. This has the Wow factor.

It is hard to imagine truth returning to American journalism--I too fondly remember Walter Cronkite's broadcasts. Thank you for adding Sophie Scholl's beliefs. Sighs- Joan

That would be quite radical, ha ha.
We never know WHAT to believe anymore.
I think it's a shame, the news should
be accurate and reliable.
The 'peaceful protests' have destroyed lives,
businesses, and cities.
I totally agree with your notes.
Great entry,
blessings...

You can still hear the truth, Sally, but you have to know where to find it. On CNN I watch Jake Tapper. On FOX I watch Brett Bayer (not sure of spelling). On MSNBC I watch Rachel Maddow. I digest all the information from different perspectives and find the truth.

That's a lot of news, I know. I also read online papers. Ever since Trump took office, I felt it was my patriotic duty to be involved in politics. The more knowledgeable I am, the more I get depressed. Hugs, Lou

Thank you for the excellent review and insightful comments, dear Lou. For news and commentary, I read The Wall Street Journal. For commentary, I read: The American Spectator, The AmericanThinker, and the Western Journal. The latter has good news and glad-to-be-alive true stories in the lineup all the time. The WSJ is $140 a year, The American Spectator is $60 and my personal favorite with a blind-assist tool that reads for me. It's well worth the $60 price tag.

Internationally, I read Breaking Israel News and The Jerusalem Post. On Fox Business News, Its economist, Stuart Varney. I haven't had a chance to watch him in a long while though. Our economy has taken such a beating and it's only by God's grace my door is open at my small manufacturing firm. Still, food is on the table, the sun came up today, and I have my family and writing.

Sending you my best today as always, and many thanks for the review,
    Sal XOs.....

Sally,

With your notes and video about Sophie, your verse gets elevated to its highest FS level. We all watched those famous newscasters and believed their words. Today, many show a bias that is not 'real' news.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the lovely review and generous six stars. I really appreciate it, dear Mark. A source of good, accurate news is hard to find these days. I stay to a trusted few. The Wall Street Journal is my favorite new source and also has some good journalists I follow. "The American Spector" is fabulous with commentary and blind assist helps. I push a button and it reads to me. It's well worth the $60 yearly fee. Ben Stein is on there; he's funny, serious... even scaristic. Then you realize the man is just real guy, offering a refreshing combination of balanced journalism. That's hard to find these days. Check it out.
Sending you my best today as always,

It's truly amazing the impact that journalism has on our world and never more so than now, as we have so many ways and so many 'gadgets' to get out our 'message'-

"Truth Be Told", is short, succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet, has told it as it is. I very much look forward to seeing your next post.
