I am not surprised they are difficult to find when you can see right through them. It won't be any use their trying to lead us up the maritime garden path will it? Their transparency would enable us to know when they were telling fibs. Just Yaks and Zebras to go now, I suppose.

LOL!!! You are a monster! Of course you're right, there aren't a lot to find in those letters, not that would be interesting to anyone. Thank you so much for the six stars, Jim, and the lovely review. Your support all the way through has been so nice. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Yes, your post took me into a cave I once visited where we had to cross an underground river from Kentucky to Tennessee. The fish were much like the ones you describe. Very transparent and you could their hearts beating inside their bodies.
Thanks Sandy.

That must have been amazing, Chuck. The majority of animals I've used for this book, I've never seen in the flesh. When people say they have, I feel a little envious, not in a horrid way, but how wonderful it is that you can. I would love to see the gorilla in the jungle, (that is NOT going to happen!) and some of the other animals that are too far away for me to travel to.
Thank you so very much for the lovely review and all those shiny stars, my dear friend. I do appreciate you so much. Warm hugs and much love. Sandy. xxxx

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

The X-ray tetra fish is fine, Sandra. Amazing how they can survive in so many different types of water, but can't live in polluted water. One more reason on top of the thousands of other reasons to stop the massive water pollution. Who, of all the water-species, can survive in poisoned water?

A see-through fish! And all you see is its spine and the dark spots on its fins. Thanks, Sandra!

Thank you so much, Marjon, for reading about these little fish. When I looked for an X I was really downhearted. What could you possible find interesting about such a little thing? It was amazing that I did find a couple of good things. I'm glad you liked it. I've a lot of catching up to do with reviews, I'll get there shortly. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra, thanks for your answer. And, of course, welcome to the review.

-Good artwork, photos, and poem, Sandra.
-I was wondering what X was going to be!
-You wrote an interesting piece about them.
-First, how unusual that the babies are called Fry.
-They do have interesting looking fins.
-For a small fish, a weberian apparatus
sounds impressive, and is certainly
useful for saving energy.
-I never heard of hearing being mentioned
where fish are concerned.
-They have quite a lot going for them!
-It's also nice that they seem like
a friendly lot, and enjoy company in
an aquarium, even when a kitty enjoys
looking at them!
-A very good job with X! It was very interesting.

Thank you, Pam! I kept saying to Graham, this is going to be the most boring one of the lot, but I did manage to find a few interesting things. Their hearing is incredible, apparently, due to that apparatus. It does seem a lot for such a little fellow. Lol. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one, my friend, it was a relief to finish it. :)) I'm working on my Y now, then Z, both interesting animals. Thank you for the lovely six stars, and fabulous review, dear friend. You know how much I appreciate you. Warm hugs, and much love. :)) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. I wonder if some of the X animals were actually prehistoric ones. I still liked that mangy looking creature. But you did a good job with this little fish.

Aw, thank you. There were some prehistoric dinosaurs, but no one would be able to pronounce their names. At least this little fish is still around. :)

It is better that the little fish is still around. I have avoided making a pun about the little ones being Frys!

LOL!! I thought of a few but decided it wouldn't be a good idea to include them in the book! :))

No, it wouldn't, but it is wickedly funny.

Hello Sandra, when I saw the letter X I did not even try to guess what you would come up with - another winner of course. Well done, the end of a well run journey. This will be quite a book. You deserve this six dear girl. Love Dorothy xxx

It was hard, lol, there aren't a lot of Xs around. Two letters to go, and fortunately they will be quite interesting. Thank you so very much for the six stars, Dorothy, you are my first reviewer and what a lovely one it is. I really appreciate both. Have a lovely Sunday, my friend. Lots of love, Sandra xxx
