Bill,
Words to live by. Well-captured in so few words. I could see this on a motivational poster, like the ones hanging in schools haha. Thanks for sharing!

I have just enjoyed eleven well-chosen syllables that convey a powerful message about decluttering life. This reminds me of Thoreau's basic philosophy, but I don't plan to live in the woods with no modern conveniences.

Hi Bill, yes to make things simple is a worthy subject here, to contrary belief, the Pyramid builders made everything simple to achieve their gaol's and we wonder how today it was possible, but everything had to be simple to achieve this greatness. Wish I had a six for you on this one. Cheers Colin
It's about the best message I have read in a short poem for a while.

I like the message conveyed in this. We should try to do something about the things that we can an not worry about what we can't. I think that as you've so eloquently stated, we just need to relax. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Your poem is very profound, the less you have to worry about, the more peaceful you feel. Unless your homeless, but that opens another can of worms. Your picture compliments your words. Good luck in the contest.

I like your word play of "de-stress for success" which brings to mind that old business book, "Dress for Success." Yes, simplifying life would definitely enable us to enjoy life more. Best wishes in the contest!

I like your use of the literary technique of alliteration. The s's effect the fizzing of champagne or cracking opening a fresh Pepsi. Or it could be the delicious silence that we who are around people all day long, relish. People wonder how I can be comfortable in silence & isolation during Covid. I tell them, "I have been with many people daily since 1965. I am loving listenig to my own voice and my own thoughts.
