I really appreciated the author notes with this. Not that I couldn't try to figure it out on my own, but they sure helped to clarify the meaning. With that last part, "Most men, few humans," I think of the German word "Mensch" - which is what I think you mean by "humans." A Mensch is a real, down-to-earth human, someone with a heart whom you would like to hang around with.
Some words are like that, as seen in this creative poem.

Although the 5-7-5 constraint is met, I do not feel the emotion I think the author wants to convey. Simply mentioning 'God' or 'Lord' and quoting him fails to move me.

This poem might be described as arcane, not only because of the inherent intelligence, therein, but because your conclusion is paralleled to Solomon's. In ecclesiastes, Solomon says whatever man does is all vanity; therefore, in the final analysis unless man demonstrates some high level of humanity, he's a farce.

To Alcreator Litt Dear,
This is a philosophical topic that captures the distinct detestation and extreme discouragement over the despicable acts of mankind and how not ounce of remorse is shown.
Charlene
P.S. I do a lot of reading in between the lines spoken

I enjoyed this. It makes you think, what has man done for the hills, and for God? What can we do for the hills to understand our role and encourage us through it. That may not be what you meant it as, but that's how I ended up thinking after I read it. Very good.

Interesting ;look at this writing.
good 5-7-5 form.
Has a conversational feel to it, while getting a message out through your words.
Man should be looking at their acts, and live with respect for the earth and all living things. The abuse, torture and destruction is terrible.

I didn't connect with this one ... I guess it's the philosophy behind it. I don't think mankind is hopeless or that we have been forgotten. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

I think this is true of many humans, perhaps all? I think your book is full of your true and honest feelings, coming straight from your heart and I believe that is the only way to read and review your work. I found it enightening. xsx Sandra
