What a spectacular picture and parallel, color presentation! I enjoyed your alliteration of "s's" and rhymes. You captured the "glorious" morning and allowed us to share the "grandeur". Big cheers- Joan

The poem is so timely with everything that we have been experiencing now. To be grateful for another new day - seeing the sunrise brings hope and joy in our hearts. Looking forward for more mornings to come.

Your flowing voice was heard through the words. Take this as a huge compliment. I think I have only given six stars twice since being on the site. Well written. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Vanna for this lovely review. I am honored to receive one of your six stars. Since we only get six of them to use during a week, they are really precious.

Very picturesque poem! I particularly enjoyed the third stanza. The ending is also strong, and seems like it might have a dual meaning: 'the setting sun' refers to the current day, but maybe it also refers to enjoying each day until the end of life?

This is a lovely way to start my day - reading a poem that highlights the hopefulness and optimism that each new dawn can bring. I love these lines:
This creamy yellow stream of mellow light
stirs ev'ry creature in its quiet glow.
Those predawn shadows quickly are erased
when Sol brings vibrant glory to the day.
No matter how dark the night, dawn brings a ray of hope - and joy.

My favorite part was, "Today's a joyous gift from God above --
I'll savor it until the setting sun.", because it displays gratitude and thankfulness to God!
The Lord led me to these verses after I read this,
Isaiah 60:1-3
New International Version
The Glory of Zion
60 "Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Janet, It was as though you were writing about my sun scape off my deck looking out upon the blue ridge mountains. Your words evoke the awe that I believe far too many people never take a pause and truly experience, thank you for sharing this. JLR

Wow! we used to go to Flat Rock house. Small world. Now we live near Raleigh but we miss the mountains and the cooler weather there. We get back there a few times a year and enjoy friends and the area.

What your poem describes is the hope that each morning can bring to a person. A well written, descriptive piece. I loved the imagery of the rising sun. I really enjoyed reading it.
