Melissa,
What a cute little shed. I can see how the flowers and light around it could inspire poetry. All you need is a little pink table to go with the chair and you could write up a storm.
I like the internal and end rhyme in this nonet which uses nature as a metaphor.
Keep writng and stay healthy.
Joan

What a lovely vision for the poet and writer alike!! ;) Love the thought, although I'm sure my office will have to do... ;) :) :) Thanx for sharing 'on the nines'! ;) Yvette
Be sure to pop back in there and remove the gnome graffiti from your author notes... ;)

Hi Melissa,

I loved the garden theme you have chosen to show how your words bloom. The thought of poet's shed is quite interesting. I guess everyone would have want to have one. Excellent word economy. Nice use of random rhyme. Fine use of alliteration as well.

Regards,
Anupam

If I were to have a potting shed, that's what it would look like! I love the imagery in this nonet of a poetic shed where you pick and nourich words to see how they bloom into a masterpiece. Very creative piece.

I'd take that shed in your picture. It's charming. Lovely nonet. You have it centered so beautifully. I like your comparison of your writing to seedlings that sprout and like flowers they have to be plucked pruned, nourished. Excellent words there, and great alliteration with pluck and prune. Beautifully done. judi

Hello Melissa, what a lovely nonet. It is written in perfect form and the subject I like very much. A nice thought, your own little shed to tuck yourself away and write poetry. Hope you achieve it. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Melissa, your syllable count is spot on and you have a nice V form for your Nonet. I LOVE the picture. If I were able, I have a potters shed that I could fix up to look like this one, but those days are over for me. Lovely thoughts and good luck with your poet's shed. I suppose I could do that one. LOL Nancy:)

Hi Nancy.... Thanks so much. I have always wanted a ... She Shed... where I could hideaway and write poetry and putter with my plants.... maybe someday! Thanks again!

What a great poem. I love how you compared your thoughts to young sprouts trying to make their way into this world. It might your poem colorful, descriptive. I love your picture. Wish I had one of them in my backyard.

I have a she-shed in mind too. It's going to have purple shag carpet and one of those electric fireplaces where I can watch the flames dance when I write. It's going to have a desk, chair, loveseat, coffee maker and snacks. Gotta have my coffee and brain food.

I love how you will decorate it! I think your coffee bar sounds divine... I would keep mine stocked with chocolate and Biscoff cookies ;)

A very well-written Nonet about a special place where a poet can escape to when the muse needs to be productive. A space where poems are born.

Hello Melissa!
Oh! I would love a poet's shed as well! Actually, I would love a gardener's shed, but it is not allowed in our subdivision! I keep telling my husband that we could "sneak" one in somehow! :)
A wonderful and carefree offering in top-notch Nonet form!

Thank you for sharing!

Haha, I think you should definitely... sneak.. one in too. It would be so wonderful to have a She-Shed just for me. I seem to have to share this entire house with work-at-home men... for the moment ~ very distracting. :)
    Thank you, sweet Diane!
