A very well-written Acrostic poem describing the heart and essence of each poet. They all have their own style but they all have a universal source where they write from and that is their heart.

A fine acrostic Lisa as your description of the poet here paints a fine picture. Observing life and understanding emotions and relating this in skilful words is an art and I enjoyed your presentation, love Dolly x

Thanks for your lovely comments, Dolly.
A 4-line acrostic is keeping it simple... any longer and i'd find it a problem to maintain a flow.

This is really creative and I liked your different descriptions of a poet which I thought you did really well. I especially liked the last line, it's amazing how much the written word can have an effect on people. A well written piece. Good luck in the contest!

This brings a new dimension to the idea of the acrobatic in which the leading letter of the acrobatic becomes the alliterated letter for that line.each alliterative line contains a minimum of five all iterations ad yet actually achieves the set task of defining 'poet's.

Clever..

Hello LisaMay,
This is a very well written contest entry.
Not only do you meet the prompt requirements beautifully, you come up with an alliteration-rich, rhymed acrostic! I'm impressed :)
Good luck in the voting booth.
Best wishes, Debra

You came up with a mouthful of definitions for a poet! Some of which I couldn't even pronounce! A great job! Good luck with the contest! ((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))

This is most creative. Using the first letter in your acrostic poem to deliver further meaning to the definition of a poet is fun. I particularly enjoyed the echo ... echo ... echo

Wishing you much luck with the voters as I expect many can relate to this. :))

This work has reached the exceptional level

SSSSSSuperb! Finest acrostic I've ever seen--you took on a self-imposed challenge of alliterating each line--all words are spot-on apt--not one sounds forced; indeed the imagery is fresh throughout. Cheerssssss. LIZ

I really like your creativity using an acrostic poetic form with the word POET, then you rhyme it and each line is full of alliteration as well as descriptive of poetry. Hope you do well in the contest!

Thanks for your terrific review. i was a bit worried that using all those poetic devices might have ME labelled as "pretentious"!

All elements here for strongest contest entry! Yellow acrostic draws eyes to prompt subject, and then delineates flow of ideas in rays of white that burn from a background of burnt sienna. Wording echoes acrostic. Clever. An expressions of contrasts emphasizing the artistry of poetry. Lovely art work which shows a human standing on the edge of several different directional choices to further confirm text.
Solid, powerful entry.
Well done!
